I know that everyone is feeling the stress and pressures of the terrible COVID-19 virus. For me the tipping point on how bad this really is was when Disney World closed until further notice. James and I are avid Disney travelers and have been at the park in all kinds of situations including for Hurricane Irma- even then the park was only closed for a day and a half. So hearing that Disney is closing for multiple days really shook me up.
We have been socially isolating ourselves while working at home for the past two weeks (I think- it is blurring together) at home with a one year old. We had a trip planned to Disney in April that had to be cancelled due to all of this. While laying in bed one night I decided that just because we couldn’t go to Disney didn’t mean I cannot make memories with my little guy. So this weekend we are having a Disney staycation. I will be posting videos of the different things that we have done, pictures of the incredible food we are eating and tips for all the fun we have had.
An important note is that we are completely respecting our social distancing obligation. I did not leave the house for any of this stuff- if I could I would have gotten better decorations, a helium mickey balloon etc. but that would defeat the purpose of a self-isolating stay-cation.
